ARMSTRONG ART AND DESIGN

Hi! I’m Virginia Seal, and I’m the artist that started Armstrong Art and Design. The name of my studio comes from my middle name, Armstrong, which isn’t seen a lot with artists. Most tend to go with their first and/or last name, but I wanted to be different. I have embraced my middle name my entire life and am so glad that I finally found an avenue to which I can use it everyday. Fun fact: Armstrong is not only my middle name, but also my father’s! Because of this, the name is very special to me.

I chose Art and Design because it leaves room for my studio to grow without the need to rebrand in the future. This was a hard decision to make because, as of now, I am working with oil and watercolor paints. However, with my Studio Art degree from The University of Texas at Austin, I also learned a lot of design skills. In the future, if I want to introduce any design elements to my studio, I can do so with ease.

I believe in pushing myself and reaching out of my comfort zone. Yes, this is very scary at times, but most of the time it works out for the better. Armstrong Art and Design is more than just a hobby, it’s a way for me to share my love of art with you. Thank you for allowing me to bring such special elements of me to life!
